Test for Pepe to justify Arsenal’s decision of his signing against Crystal Palace’s Zaha.

The Arsenal’s record signing is set for a clash against the player his club might have signed instead, when Crystal Palace play against Arsenal on Sunday. Arsenal fans will hope they can flash back at Thursday’s victory against Vitoria as the night Nicolas Pepe spark the fire on a long and successful career at the Emirates. Similarly, Dennis Bergkamp had his day against Southampton at Highbury in 1995, silencing his early critics with awesome brace which were the first of his 120 goal haul for the club. In a similar trend, Thierry Henry had his at the Dell in 1999, against the same Southampton, starting off with a late winner having played eight successive games without a goal after his move from Juventus. More than two decades on, both games are still fondly remembered as they were when two club legends started their glorious careers at the club. It’s however a fingers-crossed situation as to if Pepe will go on in such legendary path as the likes of Bergkamp and Henry, but the Ivory Coast international should at least now become a key player in Arsenal’s season, especially going by the potentials shown in former club and last match against Vitoria.
