“Dropping Ozil is Arsenal’s decision”- head coach, Unai Emery.

The German midfielder has been out of action for more than a month, with the the Gunner’s manager in no rush to lining him back to action.

In his address, Unai Emery stated that the decision to exclude Mesut Ozil out of the Arsenal squad was agreed upon by the whole club and not just him.

The Ex-Madrid midfielder has made just two appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season and has not been included in any of the club’s matchday squad since September.

Despite the the growing calls among many Arsenal fans for the attacking midfielder to be returned to action, head coach Unai Emery has kept mute on the reason for the exile.

But the Spanish manager says the Arsenal board is behind his decision as the dispute continues.

“Here, we have one agreed strategy as a club and a team,” Unai Emery.
“Because the most important thing is the club, the team and finding a performance”.

“Previously we were all speaking between us to take that decision. I know all the supporters want to know something but now is not the moment. I think it is not the moment to speak about him”.

“We are going to play on Sunday and in the next matches and we are going to decide, and when we can speak about him something differently we will look.”

As Ozil’s absence extends ahead of Sunday’s home game against Crystal Palace, Unai Emery is focused on exploring the idea of playing Lucas Torreira in a more advanced role again after his performance against Vitoria in the Europa League on Thursday.
